Topic/Skill: Reading an adapted Aesop's fable and introduction to comparative adjectives
Feedback provided to tutee: pronouncing -est with adjectives (e.g., fastest); easier way to sound out words with suffixes is to break the word up.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Today's lesson was listening heavy on Je-ah's part and she did a great job. The fable we read was rewritten to be a bit easier and used the vocabulary we had incorporated in the past few sessions. Even though this reading activity increased teacher-talking time, unexpectedly, it kept her focused and was still interactive. She has trouble sounding out words that have two consonants next to each other such as the "sc" in "scary".
