Topic/Skill: Grammar (Present Continuous tense and Simple past tense) 

Teacher Presentation: Used Zoom Wipeboard after the Pictionary game to cover the purpose of the game, spoke and typed out the sentences as she spoke. Explained present continuous tense.

Classroom Management: Inductive approach to learning. The students would participate in an activity, then come together as a group and present their ideas, and correct the teacher would correct the grammar. 

Materials: Zoom Wipeboard

Student Participation: Classroom game of Pictionary; pair work

Feedback Provided: Encouraged them to repeat their statement in complete sentences, grammar error correction. 

Lesson(s) on teaching you learned: Something that worked for the adult students was correcting their errors by asking if there was a different word with the same meaning. For example, someone used the incorrect verb for a sentence (making) so the teacher asked, “Is there a different word for making” and the student was able to say “doing.” 

Zoom Wipeboard was a convenient means of allowing the virtual and in person students have a combined platform for learning. 

Learned about other student’s cultures through an activity using the simple past tense.
